About the studio

Three Thirteen Studios is an independent game studio that makes games about people. The studio comes from journalism, so every game starts with how something actually works, like a domino table, a delivery route or a seat of power, and turns it into a system players can learn, master and share.

Its first game, Mesa, brings Dominican partner dominoes to the living room as a party game played from your phone. Late Freight is a courier life sim about the day you planned and the day you actually get. The Chair is a single-player crime leadership drama about inheriting power nobody agrees you earned.

Short version

Three Thirteen Studios is an independent studio making games about people: Mesa, a Dominican dominoes party game; Late Freight, a courier life sim; and The Chair, a crime leadership drama.

Phones up. Tiles down. Mesa is Dominican partner dominoes as a party game. Four players join from their phones, the TV becomes the table, and everyone in the room is watching. Read your partner from what they play and what they hold back, and play to 200 the way it's played at the table.

The day isn't over. Late Freight is a courier life sim written by someone who drove the route for five years. You drive for Sundown Express: load the van, plan your stops, and get through the day on the body you brought to work. Then dispatch calls. A flex driver is on the way with late freight, and the plan you made at 7 a.m. is gone.
